For this evenings Farm Hour I have an ON the FARm Interview with Corrin Brovetto from Harpersfield Farmstead and Brovetto Dairy where 3 generations of the Brovetto family work together to take care of their cows, 300 acres and produce Tilsit style cheese aged in a cave.
Also, Eloise Flesh, 11th grade student from the School of the Future in Manhattan who is in the studio to talk about the future of agriculture from her point of view. Eloise recently announced that she is considering farming as an occupation after highschool. Young farmers UNITE! Also later in the hour I will play a short discussion I had with Blythe Macay from Farm Radio International to hear about their most recents projects and the announcement of 2010 George Atkins Award to Grace Amito.
Farm Radio International is a Canadian Based not for profit organization working in direct partnership with approximately 375 radio broadcasters in 39 African Countries to fight poverty and food insecurity.
