April 4th FarmHour

ON the FARm Interview  with Kate Marsiglio of Stony Creek Farmstead in Walton.  Kate and her family sell cuts of beef, pork, & lamb, eggs, and broiler chickens right from the farm and are currently  signing people  up for their CSA!  Also, Stony Creek Farmstead  amazingly good food will be available at the Franklin Farmer’s market in the summer.

Also  a brief report from Lucky Dog Farmer Richard Gilles about his recent political action in Albany, participating with the NO Farm NO Food Rally.  Also,  Lily Bergstein will be calling in from her home in New Paltz, I met Lily at last weekends Farm to Market Connection Conference in Liberty produced by Watershed Agricultural Council.  Lily is a ninth grader at the New Paltz Highschool and I found her impressions of the conference and perspective about the future of local foods to be the most inspiring of the conference. Lily would love to revive an old farm with a group of friends in the future!
