Special guests for today’s show are from the Pakatakan Farmer’s Market,                 President Gary Lamont and Market Manager Georgi Farleigh

From mid-May through mid-October area farmers and artisans gather to share their creativity and bounty at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market. Located at the historic Round Barn on Route 30 Halcottsville (approximately 5 miles north of Arkville/Margaretville) the market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

OCTOBER 2: HERITAGE HARVEST FESTIVAL. Family fun, u-pick pumpkins, corn maze, wagon rides, animals, local food and more. 10 am – 5 pm. MAPLE SHADE FARM, 2066 County Highway 18, Delhi.

OCTOBER 7: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF CHARLES W. WILCOX Charles Wilcox was a progressive Meredith farmer who left a paper trail that includes diaries dating from 1867 to 1926, and articles written about him from newspapers and magazines from which one can construct a picture of rural farm life and customs in Meredith during the last half of the 19thcentury.
